The Ultimate Guide to Golfing in Post Falls, Idaho

Prairie Falls isn't just a golf course. It's a destination. Nestled in the heart of Post Falls, Idaho, our championship 18-hole course offers breathtaking views of the Inland Northwest, meticulously maintained fairways, and a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of every skill level.

When to Play

The golf season at Prairie Falls typically runs from early April through late October, though Idaho's mild shoulder seasons sometimes extend play into November. Summer months (June–August) see the heaviest traffic, so we recommend booking tee times at least 3–5 days in advance for weekends.

For the best experience, consider playing during our weekday mornings. The course is quieter, the light is perfect for photography, and you'll have room to take your time on each hole. Our twilight rates kick in after 3 PM and offer significant savings.

What to Wear

"Golf / Smart Casual" attire is required on the course. Collared shirts are preferred. Denim, t-shirts, cut-offs, and graphic wear are not permitted. Men must wear sleeves. We want everyone to feel comfortable while maintaining the atmosphere that makes Prairie Falls special.

Cart Fees & Rentals

A common question we get: "Why are golf cart rental fees charged by the seat instead of by the cart?" Great question. Since we only have 2-seater carts available, we didn't want to stick a full cart rental on the 3rd wheel. So we made the rental fee per seat/rider to be more fair to odd-numbered groups.

Pro Tips from Our Staff

  • Arrive 20 minutes early to warm up at the driving range
  • Bring sunscreen and a hat. Idaho sun is no joke in July
  • Try the post-round ribeye at Emma's. You've earned it
  • Ask about our Stay & Play packages if you're visiting from out of town
  • Join one of our leagues for a regular game with a built-in social scene

The course was in immaculate shape and the staff was incredibly welcoming. We drove up from Boise specifically for this and it did not disappoint.
